Dynamics of specific immune response in inhabitants of Far East Region vaccinated by tick-borne encephalitis vaccine Encepur® Adult

Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, Vladivostok, Russia

Effect of tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) vaccine Encepur® Adult on examined group consisted of 145 persons, 112 of them tasted complete course of vaccination was studied. The classical scheme used: 0 — 28 days —12 months. The immune response was studied before vaccination, one month after first vaccination, one month after second vaccination, one year after two vaccinations, one month after third vaccination. Specific immune response to TBE virus was analyzed in seronegative and seropositive groups in enzyme immunoassay (IgG) and in neutralization test. We used two regional subtype 1 TBE strains: P-73 and P-202 in neutralization test. It was shown that second vaccination resulted in immunological memory to TBE virus and in spite of some decrease of these indexes there were antibodies against TBE virus in almost the total of subjects. The index of immunological protection was 100%.
