The study of HFRS patients sera in hemagglutination inhibition test showed that the morbidity in the rural epidemiological foci was associated with the Amur virus (56,9% of tested patients ) and with Far East genovariant of Hantaan virus (40,5%). The Seoul virus was the dominant cause of HFRS cases (65,6% of tested patients) in urban area. The disease was associated with the Amur virus in 21,9% among citizens that were infected in the rural fociand with genovariant Far East in 12,5%. Long-term and seasonal discrepancies of HFRS caused by different hantaviral serotypes/genotypes were noted. The increase of HFRS morbidity against the background level was recorded at a
ual average of rodent,s number 23,0 and 14,5 per 100 trap/night and index of infected rodents — 18,0 and 1,0 per trap/night for Korean field mouse (Ap. peninsulae) andfield-mouse (Ap.agrarius) accordingly.
