The influence of salmon soft roe DNA on Listeria monocytogenes adherence properties and survival of mice in experimental listeriosis infection

Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, Vladivostok, Russia

The influence of salmon soft roe DNA on L.monocytogenes adherent properties was studied. Irrespectively to the DNA doze, the augmentation of adherent property ofL monocytogenes virulent strain in comparison to avirulent strain was detected. The survival and mean life time of experimental animals received DNA was higher in comparison to control group of animals. The salmon soft roe DNA had a doze-dependent protective effect in experimental listeriosis. The DNA application according to a treatment schema was more effective in comparison to preventive schema.
