The effects of thermostable lethal toxin (TsTYp) of Y.pseudotuberculosis on the fraction of phagocytes (FPH) and fraction enriched by morula-like cells (FMLC) of holothuria Eupentacta fraudatrix were studied. TsTYp( 0,5 mg/ml) decreased FMLC viability (by 31% compared to the control) after 18 h incubation. However, no effect was shown in 48 h. The phagocytes viability decreased after TsTYp treatment by 74% in 48 h only, and it came back to the control level in 72 h. The cell viability increase to the control level and more was accompanied by decreasing apoptosis level compared to the control. Catalase with TsTYp addition to the incubation medium stimulated apoptosis in comparison with TsTYp alone in both fractions. 0,2 mg/ml of TsTYp decreased cell viability and stimulated apoptosis in both fractions, PMC especially in 48 houors. 0,5 ug/ml of TsTYp inhibited concanavalin A and lectin from Dolichos biflorus binding to surface glycoconjugates of both cell fractions compared to the control.
