Dagestan Plague-Control Station, Makhachkala; Research Institute for Plague Control, Stavropol, Russia
The enzyme immunoassay (EIA) — the system for the detection of early IgM antibodies to Crimean hemorrhagic fever (CHF) virus, obtained in the Ivanovsky Institute of Virology — was approved and introduced into practice on the basis of the Dagestan Plague-Control Station. EIA is a highly effective method for the early diagnostics of CHF and capable of detecting IgM antibodies from day 3 of the disease.
