Possible approach to the epidemiological regionalization of the Stavropol Territory with respect to Crimean hemorrhagic fever

Research Institute for Plague Control, State Medical Academy, Stavropol; Ivanovsky Research Institute of Virology, Moscow, Russia

The epidemiological regionalization of the Stavropol Territory on the formal territorial principle was made. On the basis of the characteristics of epidemiological activity different regions of the Territory were found to have four levels of epidemic danger: (1) very high, (2) high, (3) moderate, (4) low. The use of such differentiated approach was aimed at the improvement of measures for the prevention of Crimean hemorrhagic fever.
