The retrospective and operative epidemiological analysis of the incidence of Crimean hemorrhagic fever (CHF) in the Rostov region during the period of 1963 — 2002 was carried out. The main signs of the epidemic process in this disease were used for the determination of the epidemiological types of its incidence. The study revealed that, taking into account the conditions of contacting this infection by humans, several epidemiological types of the disease incidence (agricultural, appearing under the conditions of household activities, recreational, professional and nosocomial) were possible. The use of such classification was aimed at the improvement of the epidemiological analysis and diagnostics in the registration of the outbreaks and sporadic cases of CHF with establishing the relationships of cause and effect.
