State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Center in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)
The results of the control of the radiation conditions in the Lensk ulus at the post-inundation period in comparison with those at the pre-inundation period are presented. The analysis of 72 radiation-laboratory investigations on the determination of natural and artificial radionuclides in the specimens of food-stuffs, plants, soil, water and building materials indicated that the radiation conditions at the period of July — September 2001 was on the same level as the radiation conditions at the pre-inundation period and corresponded to those registered in the central group of uluses (regions) of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for the control period of 6 years (1996—2001).
