The technology of ensuring the quality of drinking water supplied to the population at the post-inundation period and the organization of the control of the household and drinking water supply at this period are described. 1,304 water specimens were analyzed; 330 of these specimens (25.3%) did not meet the necessary norms. Measures on rinsing and disinfecting water-supply mains and structures, accumulation reservoirs, tank-trucks, etc. under the stringent control of the sanitary and epidemic service were found to give positive results. The effectiveness of Aquatabs, a disinfecting preparation in tablets, was confirmed.
