Controlling the organization of catering for the population and invited workforce at the period of the restoration works in Lensk

State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Centers in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and in Lensk

The scheme for controlling the organization of catering for the population and invited workforce at the period of the restoration works in Lensk and on the results of these activities is presented. Stringent sanitary control of the quality of food-stuffs, taking stock of them and their utilization, as well as realization, was introduced. Intensified sanitary surveillance was carried out, including the laboratory study of 1,314 specimens of food-stuffs. Of these, more than 30% did not correspond to hygienic norms. Out of 293 studied specimens of food raw material and food-stuffs, 105 specimens (35.8%) did not meet the necessary requirements in their bacteriological characteristics. The stringent control of the quality of food-stuffs and the organization of catering by the sanitary service in Lensk ensured the corresponding sanitary and epidemiological safety.
