Yakutsk State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Center
The activity of the laboratory service of the territorial state sanitary and epidemiological center at the period of high-flood is analyzed. A large amount of preparatory work made it possible to effectively control the quality of food-stuffs, water, etc. 372 specimens of food-stuffs were examined. The bacteriological laboratory analyzed 547 specimens of water, 744 specimens of food-stuffs, 1,226 washings from environmental objects. To prevent undesirable consequences and to make sanitary surveillance more stringent after the level of flood water dropped, the objects of risk were determined and the scheme of the daily supply of obligatory specimens was introduced.
