State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Centers in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), in the Lensk and in the Mirninsk
The work of the bacteriological laboratory deployed at the post-inundation period is described. A large amount of work, including the study of 1,170 specimens of water, 1,119 speciments of food-stuffs, 2,381 washings, has been made. The conclusion has been made that the effectiveness of the bacteriological service is ensured by the preliminary preparatory work, the use of a mobile sanitary and bacteriological laboratory, as well as the use of the rapid method for the identification of the causative agents of enteric infections. The organization of the work of specialists in long-term shifts is of prime importance for achieving good results of these investigations.
